Kiwanis club members believe in service. They care about children. They're interested in the community around them—because the community matters to them.
They're people like you. Friends. Neighbors. Volunteers who want to make a difference. And they love to see the difference they make when they work together.
Instead of volunteering at the processing center this year, we are asking everyone to pack and doante at least one shoebox and drop them off at a collection center near you (mostly local churches). National Collection Week is November 13-20, 2017. Drop off locations and times can be found here: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/drop-off-locations/ (Christ Chapel Baptist Church will be collecting until 7pm on 20 November so you can drop off your shoebox on the way to our club's meeting.)
Things kids enjoy include: school supplies, small games, stuffed animals, costume jewelry, etc. Please follow the link below for directions on how to pack a shoebox and gift ideas by age and gender.
Kiwanis clubs are volunteer-based. Club meetings offer an atmosphere of fun, learning and fellowship. Kiwanis members typically volunteer each month to assist with club service projects.
